I believe in common sense, fiscal responsibility, individual accountability, equality and honesty. Having grown up most of my life in PA with parents who were born Lancaster County PA, I learned how to respect all people and help out those less fortunate. I moved to Northern VA in 1979 and spent most of the time here since then.
I served in the Marine Corps, having traveled around the world, lived in Japan for 1 ½ years, experienced multiple cultures / lifestyles and beliefs.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from King’s College and a Master’s Degree from George Washington Univ. I hold multiple certifications including Project Management and Risk Management, and several others. I have held positions in both the private and public sector and understand the nuances of both.
I’m a former Board Member and Treasurer for the Potomac Station HOA. I have been the Treasurer for Boy Scout Troop 982 for 3+ years. I’m an active member of the Marine Corps League #1205, of Purcellville, VA. I have been active in the annual Toys for Tots drive for the last 6 years.
I've been married to my lovely wife Diane for 24 years. She currently works in Pupil Services, the Office of Special Education, having served in the past as the Assistant Principal at John W. Tolbert Jr and Algonkian Elementary Schools.
I’m also the proud parent of Matthew who is 16 years old, and an Eagle Scout. He attends both Heritage High School and Academies of Loudon (AOL) in the IT track, belongs to a robotics club and has started his college search. He has donated toys for the last 12 years to the Toys for Tots drive.
I believe Leesburg needs someone who will be fiscally responsible, able to hold individuals accountable, treat others with respect and equality, and trustworthy. That's why I'm running for Loudoun County School Board in 2019.
